Kawasaki Drum I have had this drum toy for many years, and I was inspired to finally bend it after watching Kaseo's bend of the same toy. I built a 1458 circuit to fade a pair of leds to control the pitch, as well as a regular pot control. While playing with it on the breadboard I found I could also control triggering/looping the background beats using the 1458. The looping can be used with either 1458 or pot pitch control. Added RCA jacks so it can also be used with my fuzzy sequencer. I found I had an old joystick controller and used that for the 1458 pots. The y-axis controls led fade rate, and x-axis is in parallel with the LDR to add more pitch control.  Here is the circuit on the breadboard. |
